Library fundraiser promises chocolate and champagne

February 22, 2014 by

A ‘Night in the Stacks: Chocolate, Champagne and Classics’ is a fundraising event of the Friends of the Wicomico Public Library. It will take place in Salisbury at the end of the month.

Guests will be treated to gourmet chocolates made by graduates of the Wor-Wic Culinary School, hors d’oeuvres and champagne. Current Friends of the library will also receive an extra signature cocktail. Throughout the night, classical music from Kara Dahl Russel and the Salisbury Sting Trio will help to entertain the crowd. There is also set to be a silent auction to help raise more funds for the library, together with the efforts of the local businesses and individuals who have donated items to this worthwhile fundraising activity.

Friends of the Wicomico Public Library holds several events of this nature during the year, and they help to educate the community about the importance of public libraries. It is likely that the organization occasionally works with Salisbury print companies to help advertise its events or to provide information to the public. This may involve ordering the printing of invitations or flyer printing.

A Night in the Stacks is being held at the Wicomico Public Library’s downtown branch in Salisbury on February 28 from 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm. Tickets are $35 per person or $60 for a couple. For more information about the fundraiser, call 410-749-3612.
