The New Year’s Eve Ball Drop 2014 will soon betaking place at the Plaza. The event is hosted by the Salisbury Arts and Entertainment District, the Salisbury Area Chamber of Commerce, and the City of Salisbury.
There will be plenty of activities taking place during the evening, including live music from performers such as the Bonedaddys, Test Kitchen, and DJ BallDrop; the stage will be located at St. Peters Alley and Main which is where the ball will also drop at midnight. Major Jim Ireton is also expected to be on hand to witness the event and he will no doubt talk to the crowd.
A limit of 150 guests will be able to invest in a VIP Bar Crawl ticket for $20. This includes a punch card that allows a cocktail at each of the participating bars, a T-shirt, and a champagne toast at midnight. While this is a family-friendly event, alcohol will also be available for sale in the Plaza. Local restaurants will also be offering special pricing during the evening.
It is possible that the organizers will want to decorate the Plaza with banners to help to celebrate the New Year. Salisbury printing companies would be able to supply them with banners suitable for displaying outdoors.
The event is taking place in downtown Salisbury on December 31 from 8:00 pm – 12:00 am, and is free to attend. For more information, visit the official NYESBY event website or Facebook page.
