Chamber hosts chance to do some networking over lunch

The Salisbury Area Chamber of Commerce holds a general membership luncheon once a month. The next luncheon will be held at the Holiday Inn and Conference Center on July 19 from 12:00 pm to 1:30 pm. Tickets are $15 for chamber members.
While there are other regular events for members, most are for those belonging to certain committees or groups, whereas this is for everyone, making it a perfect networking opportunity for chamber members from Salisbury and the nearby area. Those who attend should be sure to arrange for a business card printing order before the luncheon, as they will want their cards to be in pristine shape to hand out and to make sure that they have enough to give to everyone who wants one. They might also choose to take the opportunity to practice their elevator speech; a 30-60 second speech outlining their business and what they have to offer to other businesspeople. This speech is usually delivered at the same time as the exchange of business cards.
There are sometimes fewer chances to network in the summer months because people are away on holiday or are using the summer to plan their networking strategy for the upcoming year. However, those who are able to would be wise to continue their regular networking schedule even during the summer months. After all, business does not stop for a summer vacation. It might give them the opportunity to meet some business peers who will help steer their company to the next level of success.
