Celebrate Valentine’s Day and help the animals

The Wicomico Humane Society is holding a Gala Valentine’s Day Cotillion in Salisbury to raise funds for its animal programs and services.

The Humane Society depends solely on funds from the public, which it raises by holding several events during the year. It is not affiliated with the Humane Society of the United States. The society offers spaying and neutering, rabies shots, and adoption services.

The Cotillion will feature a buffet dinner, dancing, a silent auction, and a disc jockey. Refreshments will be served with dinner or guests are encouraged to bring their own drinks. Local businesses will be donating items to the silent auction such as jewelry, travel packages, and sporting event packages. It sounds like a great way for couples to celebrate Valentine’s Day together while helping a very worthwhile organization.

No doubt organizers will be working with printing companies near Salisbury to prepare for this event. Banners can be used to recognize sponsors of the event and flyers can be used to let the community know about the upcoming occasion. Flyers are extremely versatile when used for marketing purposes; they can be distributed in a variety of ways that make them among the most cost-effective and efficient forms of advertising available.

The Gala Valentine’s Day Cotillion will take place at the Wicomico Youth and Civic Center on February 16 from 6:00 – 10:00 PM. Tickets are $35 or $250 for a table of eight. For more information, call Kayla Christiano at 443-366-5455.
