Rockville invites locals to Go Ape

June 3, 2012 by

The annual “Go Ape” with Rockville Chamber will take place at Rock Creek Regional Park on June 14 from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm. Tickets are $40 for participating Chamber participating members and $55 for participating non-members; while tickets are free for non-participating chamber members and $20 for non-members.

The evening will involve taking part in the Go Ape circuit and dinner. It will be a very different kind of networking event, one that challenges participants physically and mentally. Participation is neither for the faint of heart nor those afraid of heights. It could, however, result in some attendees challenging themselves as never before and overcoming their fears.

Go Ape is described as a “treetop adventure” which involves high wires, ladders, tunnels, walkways, and zip lines, all taking place amongst the treetops, so it definitely takes people out of their comfort zone. Each participant undergoes a 30-minute safety briefing and is equipped with harnesses and pulleys, so there is no real danger to anyone who follows the rules.

The dinner will be a time for participants and those who watched to share their feelings about the event. It will also be a great time to exchange business cards. Rockville printing companies will no doubt be called on to provide business card printing services for those who plan to attend. Everyone wants their business card to be in excellent condition. Bends and smudges do not give a good first impression, so new ones must be ordered occasionally.

Go Ape will definitely get the adrenaline pumping and will show many participants how strong they really are. The resulting boost in confidence will definitely help them in business.
