Glenview Mansion is set to welcome the holiday season

The Glenview Mansion Holiday Open House, Art Opening and Concert is taking place early this December. It is a presentation of the City of Rockville Recreation and Parks.

The art opening is the second annual exhibition of the Rockville Art League. This juried show features art in all media including oils, ceramics, drawings, prints and sculpture. The reception will allow guests to get a preview of what is available.

Musical entertainment at the concert will be provided by various local groups including the Richard Montgomery High School’s Madricals chamber choir, Harmony Express and the Encore singers.

Visitors will also have the chance to tour the mansion and view the special Christmas decorations in each room. This event should be a great way to get the entire family excited about the upcoming Christmas season and for everyone to have a chance to discover just how many talented artists are amongst their neighbours. It will also give the artists much needed exposure in the community; it might even result in them winning commissions from the public.

No doubt this event will be widely advertised in the Rockville area. This might include the purchase of marketing materials such as poster, flyers and booklets to be distributed throughout the community.

The Glenview Mansion Holiday Open House, Art Opening and Concert is taking place on December 8 from 1:00 – 4:00 PM. Admission is free to all events. Call 240-314-8660 to find out more about the day’s events.
