The Baltimore County Chamber of Commerce is hosting Corridor Inc’s 2011 Person of the Year Award at the Arundel Preserve on February 16 starting at 5 pm.

This yearly event brings out the top business leaders and area politicians. It celebrates those who have “contributed the most to business and community in Maryland last year.” Nominees are chosen by the Corridor Inc. Daily Edition; this year there are 20 nominees from such areas as education, medicine, charity and business.

Attending The Person of the Year Award also gives you a chance to network with your business peers from all over the county including Lutherville. Before you go, make sure to arrange for extra business card printing . While people are there to honour the 20 nominees and the winner, they will also be interested in finding new people to add to their referral networks. A lot of business is done at business events such as this. Just make sure that when you exchange business cards that you are not selling; you should take time to look at the other person’s card and find out what you can do for them. Make sure that you follow up with everyone you promised; they will appreciate it and will be more than willing to refer you to those looking for your type of services or products.

The winner of the Person of the Year Award has their information published in the print edition of Corridor Inc which will be handed out at the event and will also be mailed out to the paper’s 30,000 readers.
