Arts to be celebrated at Sugarloaf

There are expected to be over 250 artisans in attendance at the Sugarloaf Crafts Festival, which will take place at the Maryland State Fairgrounds next month and offer something for everyone.
The artistic aces will be selling handmade items such as jewelry, sculpture, clothing, photographs, and fine art. In addition, many artisans will be demonstrating how they create their art, with scheduled demonstrations including ones on copper spinning, paper making, mobile sculpting, and woodturning.
The festival will also feature live music, specialty food for sampling and purchase, and musical entertainment from acts such as Stan and Lee Ann and Ngu Mbandi. There will also be children’s activities, such as Middle Earth Studio costume storytelling, in which children can dress up in costume and take part.
Organizers of the festival are bound to be working with Lutherville area printing companies to prepare. Banner printing services can provide banners that can be hung all over town advertising the upcoming festival, while flyer printing and poster printing tend to be excellent means of promoting events like this.
The artistic explosion spans a three-day period from October 5 to 7, taking place from 10:00 am – 6:00 pm each day. Tickets are $8 in advance and $10 at the gate but children 12 and under are admitted free. The Sugarloaf Crafts Festival should be an opportunity for the community to get to know some of the artists in their midst and for artists to get the exposure they desire. It also sounds like a fun way for the family to spend a weekend.
