Weekend workshop offers alternative health techniques

Redefining Health is a weekend workshop taking place in Laurel this October. It is a presentation of the Maryland University of Integrative Health (MUIH).

The theme of the workshop is ‘Personal reflection and transformation redefining health’. Guests will learn more than 20 techniques which will help them improve their emotional and physical health. The hosts are Dianne Connelly and Robert Duggan. Among the things guests will be exposed to will be how to identify emotional triggers and examine their perceptions of what they see.

The workshop offers 12 Continuing Education Credits and 12.5 Nursing Contact hours. It will also be an excellent chance for those either studying in the field, or interested in the field, to network with one another. There should be plenty of time during the two days to talk with others about their perceptions and even possibly set the stage for a future collaboration. With that in mind, many of those attending will make sure to bring along a large number of digital business cards to exchange.

No doubt the facilitators of the workshop will be handing out printed documents and information for those attending. Laurel printing companies will likely be asked to provide any printed material needed.

Redefining Health is being held at the Maryland University of Integrative Health from October 5 – 9, beginning at 9:00 am each day. Fees are $165 for the general public, $125 for MUIH alumni, and free for current staff, students, and faculty. To find out more about this weekend workshop, call 410-888-9048.
