The next Business Tools Group (BTG) seminar from the Baltimore Washington Corridor Chamber will take place at Smartly Spaced on March 28 from 9-10:30 am. Tickets are $10 for members in advance and $30 at the door and for non-members.
The seminar, entitled “Success Strategies” will consist of a panel discussion with Kathy Miller of Apple Insurance, Linda Penkala of Optimum Health for Life, Rick Donovan from Enoch Office Equipment and Angie Goodwin Johnson of Mary Kay Cosmetics. A light breakfast catered by La Prima Catering will be provided.
There will be plenty of time to talk to your local area business peers from cities such as Baltimore and Laurel before and after the panel discussions. As with most chamber events, you will want to bring along your business card. Printing extras is a good idea before attending any seminar where you might meet the person or persons who can help take your business to the next level. Make a point of introducing yourself to as many people as possible, give them a card and make sure you get one back.
Panel members will be discussing lessons they have learned in running a small business. They will also be sharing their own experiences of what works and what doesn’t in running a business. Those in attendance will learn about the mistakes the panelists might have made in the past and how to avoid making the same mistakes with their own business. There is nothing like hearing first-person accounts of running a successful business; a savvy business owner will use the lessons learned to ensure their own success.
