Late October fair concentrates on contracts

October will draw to a close with the 21st Baltimore–Washington Region Government Procurement Fair at Martins Crosswinds in Greenbelt. The first 300 people will receive a freebie bag filled with promotional items and product samples.
Over 50 government agencies will be holding informational and one-on-one sessions with business leaders from the region. They will be discussing products and services needed and wanted by government and how private industry can compete to supply those products and services. Breakfast and lunch will be served and the event will no doubt draw people from all over the region, including nearby Laurel. Local print companies will most likely be called upon to help design and print informational literature for guests to take home.
The Hall of Sponsors will also be hosting exhibit tables by local business experts. It is highly doubtful that there will be any selling, with showcasing of products and services to take priority. Tables are $675 for chamber members and $900 for non-members.
Sponsors are also being sought to supply promotional items and samples for the freebie bag – there is a $50 fee to insert one item or insert in the bag . Sponsorships are also available for $1,500, which will supply breakfast and lunch to all attendees. Sponsors will also have the use of an exhibit table, insert an item in the freebie bag, and receive recognition in the program booklet.
The date and time for the fair is October 31 from 8:00 am – 12:00 pm. Tickets are $65 in advance for Baltimore Washington Corridor Chamber members, $95 for non-members, or $125 at the door. For more information, call 301-725-4000.
