Annual gala to help local students go on to higher learning

January 27, 2014 by

The Baltimore Washington Corridor Chamber (BWCC) Foundation’s 57th annual gala will be taking place in Linthicum Heights in exactly a month’s time.

Funds raised will go to provide area high school students with scholarships to be used for college or university.

Guests of the gala get to enjoy a sit-down dinner and will be entertained by the Capitol Steps, which is a comedy group based in Washington, D. C. There will also be a silent auction and raffle tickets will be available for purchase.

In addition to raising funds for a good cause, this event should be an excellent networking opportunity for chamber members and non-members alike. There is bound to be time to briefly discuss business and exchange cards with business peers. It is likely that many of those from all over the area, such as from nearby Laurel, who are planning to attend this annual event will be investing in business card printing services from their favorite print company.

Sponsorships are also available from $250 to put a name behind the raffle, to $4,500 to sponsor the ‘Gifted & Talented’ segment. Donations to the silent auction are also encouraged and gratefully accepted.

The BWCC Foundation annual gala is taking place at the Maritime Institute Conference Center on February 27 from 5:30 pm – 9:00 pm, with tickets priced at $75 each. For more information about the event, the scholarship program, or to become a sponsor, call 301-725-4000 or 410-792-9714.
