The 23rd annual Torchbearer Awards Breakfast from the National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Baltimore Metropolitan Chapter will take place at Martin’s West on September 22 from 8:30 am – 11:30 am. Tickets are $40.

The guest speaker at the breakfast will be Tina Ballard of the US AbilityOne Commission. The theme of this year’s breakfast is “Continuing the legacy: leadership development, strengthening advocacy and economic empowerment.” The breakfast will be honoring several leaders from the Baltimore area and will also be awarding several Women in Service scholarships. It will be an excellent networking opportunity for all who plan to attend and there will definitely be time over breakfast to exchange business cards. The example of the honorees will also serve as an educational opportunity and their success will act as a catalyst for many of the women in attendance.

Local businesses can buy advertising space in the program, with prices varying between $65 and $325 depending on the size of the advertisement required, with everything from an eighth of a page to a double-page spread offered. No doubt advertisers and attendees at the breakfast will be coming from all over the Baltimore area, including nearby Hunt Valley. Local brochure printers will perhaps be providing the program booklet that everyone who attends the breakfast will receive.

The National Coalition of 100 Black Women is dedicated to the interests of minority women in business through professional, personal, and educational development. The organization provides several support programs for women.
