Workshop gets smart on software

The Northern Anne Arundel County Chamber of Commerce is holding a business resource seminar in the Chamber conference room on August 16 from 5:30 pm – 7:30 pm. Tickets are $20 for members and $25 for non-members.

The topic of this seminar will be ‘Microsoft Tips and Tricks’. Today, most business folk make very heavy use of their computers to help handle the day-to-day tasks that they must perform. With emails to send and return, spreadsheets and graphs to create for the annual report, and records to keep, the computer is a vital tool. Whichever program they use, everyone can use a few pointers on how to make it easier and more efficient. This seminar should help a vast majority of business owners in the area.

This will also be an excellent networking opportunity for business professionals from the Glen Burnie area. Of course, business card printing services will be necessary before attending this seminar. Everyone wants to make sure their cards are in tip-top shape, that any changes in the contact information have been corrected, and that they have enough to hand out to anyone who wants one. As a suggestion, each person should also bring at least 50 business cards to every networking event.

Networking events can be scarce during the summer months, so it is important that business leaders attend those that do come up. Keeping the momentum going throughout the year will help to increase their referral networks and take their business to the next level of success.
