The Northern Anne Arundel County Chamber of Commerce is holding a business resource breakfast in the Chamber conference room on July 19 from 8:00 am – 9:30 am. Tickets are $10 for chamber members and $15 for non-members.

The topic of the breakfast will be “Using social media to enhance your business” and it will be presented by Rob Emenecker of Hairy Dog Digital. Attendees will learn which social media sites matter and how they can use them to take their business to the next level of success.

Glen Burnie business leaders who plan to attend this event would be wise to arrange for business card printing in advance because the breakfast will also be an excellent networking opportunity.

It is becoming more and more necessary for businesses today to have an online component and to use the Internet for marketing. The first place where many people look today when trying to find out information on products or services is on the Internet. Social media sites such as LinkedIn, Twitter and Facebook allow people to get immediate information and often give them the chance to interact with a company directly. Businesses are finding out that through offering free coupons, giveaways, and interactive discussions, they are gaining a lot of new business. Social media sites are also good for getting immediate feedback and quickly finding out what works and what does not.

In all probability, those who attend this breakfast will leave with a better understanding of social media and with new ideas on how to utilize those sites effectively.
