Despite the weather, spring is right around the corner and M&T Bank will soon be welcoming warmer weather with the Spring Maryland Home and Garden Show. This year’s theme will be ‘Color my World’.

The annual event kicks off in early March and will feature more than 300 home improvement exhibits, as well as beautifully landscaped spring gardens consisting of flowers, stone and water features, and fire pits. Free consultations will be offered by interior design professionals.

New to this year proceedings will be free seminars such as ‘Secrets of Growing Grass like Camdem Yards’ presented by Nicole McFayden, who is head grounds keeper for the Baltimore Orioles. Other seminars will range vastly in topic, covering everything from rainwater harvesting, to kitchen remodeling, to flower arranging.

The second weekend of the show will offer an Animal Petting Zoo. Also, Maryland’s Orchid Society will be showing and selling thousands of orchids in the horticultural hall. Maryland’s Spring Craft Show is a juried event and will be held in the Exhibition Hall—over 125 crafters will be exhibiting and selling unique handmade jewelry, fine arts, pottery, and home and fashion accessories.

This year’s Home and Garden Show will take place March 1-2 and March 7-9, at Maryland State Fairgrounds, 23200 York Road, Timonium, Maryland. Doors open at 10:00 am.
