The 21st annual Oktoberfest at the Kentlands will take place on Kentlands Village Green in just under a month’s time. The event is sponsored by the City of gaithersburg and the Kentlands Citizens Assembly.

Oktoberfest celebrations are held all over the world in September and October and the largest celebrations outside of German happen in the United States. Oktoberfest at the Kentlands will be offering plenty of German food, music, and beer. In addition, there will be lots of activities including wagon rides, children’s activities, and scarecrow-making demonstrations. Vendors will also being in attendance, selling arts and crafts, German-related items, and food. Non-profit organizations and political candidates may also be in attendance.

Vendors can rent a 10’ x 10’ space and must supply their own tents, table, chairs, and whatever else they require to set up their stall. Rental fees vary for the type of vendor, so it would be a good idea for those interested in a stall to consult the Gaithersburg Maryland website to find out which fees apply to them.

Vendors and organizers will most likely be working with Gaithersburg printing companies to prepare for this annual event. Banner printing services can supply a banner to be hung over a tent to draw attention. They may also want to have signs and flyers printed to advertise that they are taking part in Oktoberfest celebrations.

The Oktoberfest will be held on October 14 from 12:00 pm – 4:00 pm and admission is free. For more information, call 301-258-6350.
