Chamber of Commerce joins in the celebrations

The Gaithersburg Germantown Chamber of Commerce will be handing out the Small Business Year Award and welcoming new chamber members at its annual celebration dinner in early December. It will be a chance for those who are new members of the chamber to meet their business peers and for those who are not yet members to be introduced to the chamber’s personnel and policies.
The Small Business of the Year award is given to a local business with fewer than 10 full-time employees. The winner, announced earlier this year, is the guest of honor at the dinner. In past years, the dinner has also included an installation ceremony of the new chairperson and new members of the Chamber’s board of directors. Scholarships are also handed out to deserving Montgomery County students. Sponsorships are available from $150 – $2,500 and sponsors will be recognized at the event.
The dinner, the theme of which for this year is ‘Celebrate the GGCC’, will be a great networking opportunity for business leaders from Gaithersburg and the rest of Montgomery County. It is therefore more than likely that several of those attending will be arranging for new business card printing in advance of the event to ensure that their contact information is correct and up-to-date.
The celebration dinner and awards ceremony is set to take place at the Hilton Hotel on December 6 from 6:00 pm – 10:00 PM. Tickets are $65 for chamber members and $80 for non-members.
