A family-friendly attraction in Frederick is preparing to host two special days of autumn fun.

This coming weekend, the Maryland Pumpkin Festival will be returning to Summers Farm. Poster printing is quite likely to be on the rise as employees from this popular venue strive to increase awareness of the event.

Attendees of all ages will enjoy a variety of activities during the festival, including pumpkin picking and a pumpkin pie eating contest. Children will be able to hunt for pumpkins and eggs and have their faces painted. Country duo Nickel-Plated Angel will perform live on the farm’s new stage, as will The Bluegrass Travelers Band.

Summers Farm will also be offering all of the entertainment provides on a daily basis during the fall season. Visitors will not only have access to the pumpkin patch, but also a chance to run through the corn maze, play on hay slides, race rubber ducks, and bounce on jumping pillows. They will also be able to take hay rides, watch pig races, and meet the numerous animals that call the farm home.

Guests will be free to sample and purchase vegetables and other foods grown on-site. They will also be able to buy homemade desserts, including pumpkin donuts.

The Maryland Pumpkin Festival is scheduled for Saturday, October 12 and Sunday, October 13. It will run from 10:00 am until 5:00 pm on both days. Attendees may purchase tickets at the gate or buy them online in advance.

The farm is located at 5620 Butterfly Lane.
