Frederick hotel rebranded and reopened

On March 1, the erstwhile Frederick Maryland Hotel & Conference Center reopened as the Clarion Inn Frederick Event Center. The facility has been serving Frederick since 1979.

The hotel’s owner, Susan Lent-Cohen, said the decision of her company, Cohenterprises, to partner with Clarion was due to the fact Clarion has strong brand name recognition among leisure travelers, but also has a lot to offer group and business travelers.

Lent-Cohen adds that since the headquarters of Choice Hotels (which has Clarion under its corporate umbrella) are in Rockville, Maryland, she will be able to work closely with them.

The facility is the largest conference venue in the area, offering 13,000 square feet of event and meeting space, including a banquet hall that covers 7,800 square feet. The hall can seat and serve as many as 500 guests for an event.

Lent-Cohen says that she and her company have invested in the local community for almost 40 years, and they understand the impact the center can have on Frederick. She says she is looking forward to continuing her investment in the future of Frederick, and plans to make the rebranded facility as green as possible. Among the amenities offered at the Clarion are free internet, an indoor pool, 24-hour business center, miniature golf, a fitness center, and Casey’s Lounge.

Facilities like this can benefit if owners create brochures that display the amenities offered by the hotel.
