Frederick facility receives five stars

A care center in Frederick has received five stars from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), which is part of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. The Citizens Care and Rehabilitation Center of Frederick was recognized for the overall quality of the care it provides.

Jan Gardner, the Frederick County Executive, congratulated the center on receiving the high rating. Gardner said he believed the center, which the county retained in 2016, would continue to operate successfully at a high level.

The rating system developed by CMS helps county residents, caregivers, and family members rank facilities. Based on this measurement, Citizens is rated as “much above average” in terms of the care it provides.

The facility’s guiding principle, according to its website, is to provide the very best care possible in a setting that respects both the individual receiving the care, and their family. The center believes the most effective care is provided when a facility maintains medical integrity, creates a team spirit in its staff members, and offers beautiful, friendly surroundings that both visitors and residents can enjoy. The center also works to rehabilitate patients so they can return home.

Institutions like this can benefit if managers work with a brochure printing company to create illustrated brochures that describe, and show, the amenities to be found at such a care center. The brochure can also mention awards.
