Night Out Against Crime on August 7th
August 3, 2012 by Mark
Crofton residents with an interest in community safety are getting a firsthand opportunity to participate in Crofton’s “Night Out Against Crime” fairly early in August.
In the meantime, business owners who are looking to get some last minute networking done this summer have the option of looking into Business Networking International since the group is looking for new members in at least one professional category.
Much to the delight of local residents, Crofton will be getting its own local version of “Night Out Against Crime” as part of the larger national movement that’s been sponsored by the National Association Town Watch. At its core, the purpose of this event is to better equip the community with the information they need in order to protect themselves from crime and drugs.
Featuring awareness promotion, prevention programs, police cars and fire trucks, activities aimed more at children, and a showing by the Police Department’s K-9 unit to go with refreshments, there’s no question that there’s going to be a lot of information and activity going on with this one. Taking place August 7th, interested individuals are asked to be at the Crofton Public Library by 5:00 pm. Free to attend and open to everyone, this already projects to be an evening the whole family can enjoy.
Another occasion that the services of local print companies may be needed for is the Business Networking International meet-up on August 8th at the Big Fish Grille. With the group currently looking for CPAs, Crofton professionals who are interested in joining have a way in.
