New artists to be unearthed in Catonsville

The 39th Catonsville Arts and Crafts Festival will take place along Frederick Road on September 9 from 10:00 am – 5:00 pm. Admission to this popular local annual event, which usually draws thousands of visitors, is free of charge.
Hundreds of artisans will be showcasing and selling their work at the festival, with several receiving judges’ awards. Artisans will be selling a wide variety of items, including paintings, prints, jewelry, ceramics, and clothing. In addition to the artists and crafters, there will be food concessions, musical entertainment, face painting and other kids’ activities, information booths from community groups, and booths from Greater Catonsville Chamber of Commerce members. There will definitely be something to appeal everyone who attends.
Artists and craftspeople can rent a 12 x 10 space for $150. Chamber members can rent a booth to sell and raffle off products for $300 or, if they wish to present information only, will pay $175.
Community groups and Chamber members who plan to provide information to the general public are likely to work with Catonsville printing companies or brochure printers. A brochure or booklet is a very inexpensive and portable way to present information, with it usually being small enough to fit in a pocket, and can present a lot of facts in its small space. Vendors might also want to arrange for a new business card printing order before the festival, so that they can attach a card to every item that they sell or, if they are interested in building contacts, exchange cards with other vendors.
