Catonsville residents to raise funds for the red, white, and blue

Catonsville residents will soon be gathering in nearby Halethorpe to participate in a patriotic fundraiser.
This coming weekend, the annual Dance for the Fourth of July gala will be taking place at the American Legion’s Dewey Lowman Post 109. A printing company may have been asked to create posters and banners to help promote this annual event.
Proceeds from the evening will go towards Catonsville’s Fourth of July Committee, which plans the schedule of events for the town’s annual Independence Day celebration. This summer, Catonsville will be hosting a parade and fireworks show for the 68th straight year.
Those who attend the fundraiser can expect to mingle with friends, neighbors, and former classmates. In addition to dancing, they will be able to participate in a silent auction, a cheer raffle, and a basket raffle. Guests over the age of 21 will also have access to an open bar. Oracle, a variety band based in Gaithersburg, Maryland, has signed on to provide live entertainment.
Dance for the Fourth of July is scheduled for this Saturday, March 8. It will begin at 7:30 pm and wrap up at approximately midnight. Tickets will cost $40 per person and must be purchased in advance.
The event will occur at 1610 Old Sulphur Spring Road. Those interested in attending or learning more about the fundraiser may contact Linda Lewis by phone at (410) 744-4882.
