Take part in the Bethesda Art Walk

December 14, 2011 by

The Bethesda Art Walk takes place on the second Friday of every month from 6-9 pm. It gives Bethesda residents a chance to tour several downtown galleries and studies all in one night. The Bethesda Circulator, a free commuter downtown bus service has several stops close to participating galleries so it’s best to leave the car at home.

The type of artworks you might see on the Bethesda Art Walk includes paintings, photographs, sculpture and mixed media. You can get a good idea of what is current in the art works. Taking part in the Art Walk might give you several ideas about how to market your own business or service by using current art sensibilities. If you see something you might like during your walk, local Bethesda printing companies can help you to create and develop a marketing campaign that features similar ideas or one that reminds you of art you liked. If you do develop a campaign based on the Art Walk, it would be good business to acknowledge that fact and to encourage others to take part.

The galleries and studios participating in the Art Walk often change, so you will want to attend more than just one. Participating organizations for the Art Walk include the Washington School of Photography, Gallery B, Upstairs Art Galley and Artworks. A map of the galleries is available for the website. The December Art Walk featured a reception in which the public had a chance to mingle with the gallery owners.
