Celebrating Partnership: Opening Doors Gala 2012 will take place at the Bethesda North Marriott Hotel and Conference Center on March 1 beginning a 6 pm. Tickets are $150 and business attire is suggested.

The Opening Doors Gala helps to raise funds for the Montgomery County Coalition for the Homeless. The Coalition provides emergency shelter for men, women and children, they provide the chance for permanent housing and they provide support services for 1600 people each year.

The emcees for the gala are Tamara C. Darvish and Leon Harris; the honorary co-chairmen of the event are Tamara C. Darvish and Isiah and Catherine Leggett. The Opening Doors Gala is considered a “high profile event” which draws government officials, community leaders, business leaders and local philanthropists.

The event will kick off with a reception at 6 pm. It will be followed by dinner and a program beginning at 7 pm. Part of the program will involve the handing out of three awards: the Distinguished Service Award; the Distinguished Volunteer Award; and the Distinguished Partner Award.

Sponsorships are available for the event ranging in price from $1000 to $25000. All sponsors receive a notice in the program and the higher value sponsors get a card placed on every table and have their logo appear on the giveaway that everyone who attends will receive. Bethesda printing companies will be busy helping get all of these items in place for the event; including most likely providing the program for the event.
