February 26, 2012 by

The 2012 Aging in America Conference will take place at the Marriott Wardman Park hotel in Washington, D.C. Full conference fees are $525 for American Society on Aging (ASA) members, $395 for ASA members over 65, $730 for non-members, $515 for retired non-members, $270 for full-time student members of ASA and $450 for full-time student non-members.

The event draws geriatric specialists from all over the country and over 3,000 are expected to attend. There are hundreds of workshops and seminars which will be presented during the five day conference. There will be networking opportunities, several receptions and various tours of the Washington DC area.

If you have a company in the area that you feel has something to offer to older Americans, their families and those who care for the elderly, it might be a good idea to become an exhibitor at this event. Even if you come from the surrounding area from places such as Beltsville or Baltimore, your products and services will receive a lot of attention at the conference. Your local brochure printing company can help you to prepare for the event by helping create literature that will explain how you think your products important to the elderly demographic. They can also provide you with a professional looking business card that you can hand out at the various networking receptions.

Our population is rapidly aging and conferences such as Aging in America are becoming an important venue for professionals to discuss the future of how to care for that population and to learn from each other.
