Beltsville gearing up for community celebration
May 2, 2013 by Sarah
Individuals and families from Beltsville and other nearby communities are invited to attend a fun-filled annual festival. In just over two weeks’ time, the Beltsville Day celebration will be returning to town. Flyer printing is likely on the rise as the parties behind this event work to promote it throughout the area.
Beltsville Day will feature entertainment and activities for all ages. It will include live music from local performers, as well as rides and games for children. Attendees will also be able to make their own crafts and purchase food.
Representatives from a variety of non-profit organizations will be on hand to interact with the public and market their services. Some will be offering presentations about their daily operations, while others will be using their time at the festival to spread the word about future events of their own. A few of these organizations will also be serving as sponsors of Beltsville Day.
There will be no charge for admission at the event, but attendees will need to pay a small fee to participate in many of the activities. Proceeds will help fund other happenings in Beltsville, including the town’s Community Health Fair and Holiday Concert.
Beltsville Day will take place on Sunday, May 19 at the Beltsville Community Center (3900 Sellman Road). It will run from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Attendees will be able to park at the Beltsville Library or at Beltsville Academy and ride shuttles to the event.
