Attend a fun networking event

The Anniversary Schmooza Palooza will take place at the Lee Building Atrium in Silver Spring on March 28 from 6-8 pm. Tickets are $20 for Greater Silver Spring Chamber of Commerce members and $30 for non-members.

The event will feature a mini trade expo, hors d’oeuvres and one free drink; it is catered by local restaurants. Several chamber members will also be showcasing their company’s products and/or services at the event.

Networking is one of the most important parts of running a successful small business. In order to grow, businesses must create referral networks with other business owners. Businesses do not operate in a vacuum and they have to rely on one another all the time; for supplies, for services and for referrals. Many times chamber members are quite often only networking with people they already know, which is really a waste of time. That is why business leaders from all around the area of Silver Spring, including those from Beltsville should attend nearby chamber events in order to meet new people and to broaden their horizons and chances for business growth.

Those who do attend the event must remember to bring their business card. Printing extra copies before the event will ensure they don’t run out and that they will have enough to hand out to everyone they meet. The main thing to remember about business cards is that they should look clean and professional and contain all the important information about the listed person and their business.
