Alzheimer’s addressed through weekend walk in Bel Air
October 3, 2012 by James
The Harford County Walk to End Alzheimer’s is, as the name suggests, a fundraising walk for Alzheimer’s research, support, and care. This is an annual event in this community and participants of all ages are welcome to come out and support this worthy cause.
The walk is designed to bring together families, friends, social groups, and co-workers, assisting with uniting communities. Everyone who participates is there to aid in the fight against this devastating disease. The Alzheimer’s Association offers easy-to-use tools and its support services are offered free. Its staff helps walkers to meet the goals they set in terms of fundraising.
As part of this event, there are informational booths available so people can learn more about the disease, what support programs are available in the area, and what services are offered to people by the local chapter. There will be some clinic trail information available, as well as advocacy information. Participants will enjoy a relaxed-paced walk through a picturesque area, as well as some refreshments and entertainment.
Poster printing, brochure printing, and flyer printing were probably used to advertise and promote this worthwhile walk to residents and neighboring communities. Admission is free and this is a great family event. The walk is due to take place this Saturday, October 6, starting at 9:00 am from the Bel Air Equestrian Center in Bel Air, Maryland. To learn more, please visit the Alzheimer’s Association website or call Adrian Martin at 410-561-9099 during business hours.
