The Baltimore Business Journal (BBJ) holds several networking events annually, these events draw local business professionals and those who wish to grow their professional networks and share their successes with their business peers.
Biz Mix is a regularly held networking series. The next event will take place at Phillips Seafood Restaurant on February 2 from 5:30-7:30 pm. Tickets are $25 for Journal subscribers and $30 for non-subscribers. This event will allow you to learn about local Baltimore businesses, tell others about your company and to build your referral network. Be sure to arrange for business card printing in advance so you will have enough to hand out to everyone you meet. You will also have the opportunity to learn about the Baltimore Business Journal and subscribe if you wish.
The BBJ Biz Buzz Awards celebration will take place at Leinenkugel and Luckies on February 9 from 5:30-7:30 pm. Tickets are $45 for BBJ subscribers and $50 for non-subscribers. This event honors Greater Baltimore’s best in social media. Categories for which awards will be handed out include app creators, mobile web designers, best bloggers, best vloggers, best use of Facebook, best use of Foursquare and best use of Twitter (individual and company). Social media plays a big part in today’s business climate and it is only fitting awards such as these should exist. Any company that does not start to use social media as part of their marketing campaigns will soon find that they are left behind.
