Perfect gifts to be unearthed at the Potter’s Guild Holiday Show

October 28, 2012 by

The Potter’s Guild Holiday Show will run for over a month at the Historic Meadow Mill at Woodberry, getting started in two weeks’ time.

There will be an opening reception on November 10 from 12:00 pm – 5:00 pm. There will be plenty of items for sale, including useable pottery items such as vases, one-of-a-kind gifts, decorations, and home accessories. There will also be a demonstration of Raku firing.

Those who attend are sure to find the perfect gift for a close friend or family members. They may also find just the right piece to finish of the decorating of their own home. There will no doubt be something to appeal to every taste.

The organizers of the event may consider working with Baltimore printing companies to get the word out about this holiday show and sale. Flyer printing services are quite inexpensive and flyers are still among the most effective types of marketing campaigns. The flyer can be distributed in a number of ways, including through the mail and by being added to displays in the local shopping mall or tourism office.

The Pottery Guild offers workshops, classes, and open studio space to those interested in the art of pottery and ceramics. Classes such as throwing and hand-building are held at the Guild regularly. Classes cost $330 each for 12 weeks and participants must supply their own tools.

The show will run from November 11 to December 23 and admission is free, with the gallery open Thursday through Sunday for the duration of the event. For more information, call 410-235-4884.
