Indulge yourself with a Chocolate Affair

January 30, 2012 by

The Chocolate Affair will take place at the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront on February 2 from 6-9 pm. Tickets are $150 each or $1500 for a table of 10; 1600 are expected to attend this annual event.

The event is a fund raiser for Health Care for the Homeless, an organization that serves over 12,000 people every year with medical care, mental health services, social work, addiction treatment, a dental program, housing and outreach services. It is also an advocate for the homeless

The Chocolate Affair will feature live and silent auctions, a golden ticket contest, door prizes, cooking demonstrations, musical entertainment and celebrity judges. Chef Carlos Gomez will present a “chocolate inspired dinner.”

Those in attendance will have to chance to learn about the programs of Health Care for the Homeless. Hopefully Baltimore printing companies will have provided the organization with brochures detailing the work and mission of the organization.

Local businesses help this event become a success by donating goods for the live and silent auctions. There are also various sponsorship packages ranging in price from $2500 to $50,000. Sponsors will be named in the event publicity, have a table branded with their company name and be mentioned in the program guide. All sponsors names will be very visible to all who attend the event. Companies that are highly visible at charity events often find that it brings them more business following the events. It is not the only reason to sponsor events which raise money for worthy causes such as Health Care for the Homeless, but it is a nice return on investment.
