Boat show cruising into Baltimore

January 7, 2014 by

Individuals and families from the Baltimore area are invited to explore the world of boating at a fun-filled event at the city’s convention center.

In about three weeks’ time, the Progressive Insurance Boat Show will be sailing into town. Poster printing has likely been on the increase as the organizers of this water-themed event work to advertise it throughout the Mid-Atlantic region.

This will be the show’s 60th straight year in Baltimore, and it will run for four consecutive days. Attendees will be able to walk through a large selection of boats, ranging from small pontoons to top-of-the-line cruisers. Visitors of all ages will have a chance to step aboard these vessels and explore their features. Experts will be on hand to explain how the boats run, as well as sell them to interested parties.

Additional exhibitors will be selling boating and fishing supplies, offering seminars on fly fishing, and sharing their tips on boat maintenance. There will be a raffle for the benefit of the Pathfinders for Autism organization, during which three attendees will win boats.

This year’s boat show will also feature an appearance from R.J. and Jay Paul Molinere, who star on the History Channel’s popular program ‘Swamp People’.

Children will be welcome to attend and participate in age-appropriate activities of their own.

The Baltimore Boat Show will run from Thursday, January 23 through Sunday, January 26. Tickets will cost $12 for adults and will be free for attendees who are 15 or younger.

The Baltimore Convention Center is located at One West Pratt Street. Those seeking further information may call (410) 224-7633.
