Plymouth to bloom with botanical walk

June 22, 2012 by

On Tuesday, June 26, the Flowers are Forever Garden Walk will begin at Backyard Birds located at 627 S. Main Street in Plymouth, Michigan. This event will run from 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm, whatever the weather.

This is the 17th annual “Flowers are Forever” garden walk, sponsored and organized by the Trailwood Garden Club, which is a project of the Woman’s National Farm and Garden Association. Each garden visited by the tour on this day has a diverse variety of different features and flowers, along with numerous interesting and unique ideas which home gardeners can easily adapt into their own landscaping projects.

While on the walking tour, guests will have the opportunity to purchase from a perennial sale taking place at a garden featured on the walk. There will also be a selection of refreshments, as well as raffle tickets for sale, and a few experienced gardeners on hand to answer any of the walking tour participants’ questions. If young children attend this tour, they must be carried while in the gardens, and no strollers are permitted in any of the gardens. Flyer printing may have been used to promote this garden tour to the public. Tickets can be purchased at Backyard Birds or Saxton’s Garden Center located at 587 W. Ann Arbor Trail.

Tickets for this event cost $10 per person and $5 for children under 12. Raffle tickets are $1 each or 3 for $2. For further information, visit the Flowers are Forever website or call Darlene Rinke at 734-459-7499 or Kate Kerr at 734-455-6867.
