March 6, 2012 by Mark
From Wednesday, April 4th until Thursday, April 29th the Plymouth Community Arts Council will be presenting their 3rd annual open art exhibition called “About Face” at the Plymouth Community Art Council located at 774 N. Sheldon Road in Plymouth, Michigan.
This art exhibition features the work of artists over the age of eighteen and focuses on the human face. This is a juried event by the PCAC exhibit committee. All the artwork is two-dimensional media. This event opens to the public on April 4th and an Artists reception will be held on Saturday, April 14 from 3pm to 5pm with refreshments served. The public is invited on this day to come and meet the artists who have pieces featured in this exhibition, so they can learn about what inspired the artist to create the artwork. This exhibit will feature media used in imaginative and abstracted ways, as well as realism.
Print companies probably completed the registration forms, “Call for Entry”, as artists interested in entering this exhibition are asked to either download a form from the Plymouth Community Arts Council’s website or stop in. Entries must be two dimensional and each artist can enter two pieces for a $15.00 entry fee. Artwork submitted must be framed for hanging and cannot exceed 60 inches in any direction, plus the artist must include all contact information, the media, and the price on the back. A separate entry form must be used for each piece.
