Farmington Hills is just the job

Some good news is on the horizon for jobseekers in Farmington Hills, Michigan. This Thursday, November 8, the Daifuku Webb Holding Co. and the Jervis B. Webb Co., its subsidiary, will hold a job fair in Farmington Hills. The organizations, which are major players in the materials handling sector, say they have dozens of openings for project managers and engineers.

Daifuku Webb develops such technology as conveyors and automated storage systems, and is looking for people to fill such positions as structural engineers, controls engineers, simulation analysts, and project managers, among others. They would prefer prior work experience.

Daifuku Webb is a multinational concern with more than 200 engineers and 1,000 employees worldwide. Employees enjoy a stable work environment as evidenced by the fact that the average length of employment is greater than 15 years. Perhaps part of the attraction is the fact that Daifuku Webb offers competitive pay, flexible work hours, and a 401(k) program, with the company matching employee contributions.

The shortage of qualified employees has led the companies to make a unique offer to job hunters – everyone who comes to the fair will receive a free chair massage, as well as a free haircut. The fair runs from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Daifuku Webb’s headquarters, located at 34375 W. 12 Mile Road, Farmington Hills.

In preparation for the event, it would be no surprise if Daifuku Webb were to have brochures printed to outline the company’s mission and products. It might also consider flyer printing as a way to get the word out about the fair.
