Campfire kindles in Farmington Hills
June 27, 2012 by James
Farmington Hills, Michigan will be hosting a Friday Night Campfire at Heritage Park Nature Discovery Center. This event will take place between 7:00 pm and 9:00 pm on Friday, July 6.
Families in the Farmington Hills area are invited to join in this Friday Night Campfire with others from the community. There will be a sharing wall, where guests are asked to write a message, share a story, or sing with others around the bonfire pit located directly in front of the Nature Center.
At this event, families will be able to spend the day at the center in advance of the evening bonfire and then attend the evening activities to enjoy a superb gourmet hot dog, as well as snacks provided through the refreshment stand. After the evening meal, guests are invited to enjoy the splash pad, walk on the scenic nature trails, enjoy one of the many playgrounds, or stop into the Nature Center for some additional summer fun. The Heritage Park is open each day from dawn until dusk for creative and economical fun for the entire family.
Guests are reminded that all activities, except visits to the Nature Center, take place outdoors and families should dress appropriately. Flyer printing and poster printing may have been used to promote this fun, festive evening to the public. This is a free event, although a $1 per person donation is requested at the Nature Center. For additional information, visit the Heritage Park Nature Discover Center’s website or call Dave Boyer at 248-477-1135.
