A night with Blackhorn
March 8, 2012 by James
On Friday, March 9th and Saturday, March 10th, 2012, visitors can enjoy Michigan’s best known and favorite Irish group, Blackhorn. This event is being held at the Farmington Players Barn located at 32332 W 12 Mile Road in Farmington Hills, MI. The event kicks off at 7:30 pm both evenings and features some of the liveliest entertainment around.
The “Boys of Blackhorn” consists of four talented young men who plan to take the audience on a musical odyssey of Ireland. This event is also in celebration of St. Patrick’s Day. During this evening Blackhorn plans to share the history, the legend, and the beauty of Ireland with its audience. Some of the music performed will no doubt have the audience rolling in their seats as it is quite lively, especially the reels and jigs. Whether visitors are Irish or not, this show is a magical learning experience. The evening will consist of a magical mix of tempos, textures, tones, and tunes all performed in the acoustical haven of the Farmington Players Barn.
The performance will be enhanced by several instruments including the cittern, five string bango, the tin whistle, the wooden flute, and the accordion. This group has recorded a number of CD’s and plans to make it an evening that will live on in the memories for years to come. Flyer printing is ideal to support events like this, and tickets are now on sale.
There are a limited number of tickets available with only a few being available at the door. Tickets for this event are $19 for adults and $17 for students or seniors. To reserve or charge your tickets, please call 248-473-1848.
