On Friday, July 13 and Saturday, July 14, the Saline Celtic Festival will take place at Mill Pond Park located at 565 Bennett Street in Ann Arbour, Michigan. This event begins Friday at 5:30 and runs until midnight, and starts again on Saturday beginning at 9am and running until 11pm.

This festival is enjoyed by many each year, with Friday night being celebrated as Pub in the Park evening. Guests will enjoy an array of foods, drinks, and live music, plus there are also music and fun workshops that will provide a full evening of entertainment. The cost to attend this fun kick-off to this festival is only $5 per person at the gate. Families are welcome at the opening event as they can stroll the numerous vendor’s booths, enjoy some tasty foods, and socialize with friends and neighbors.

On the Saturday, the festival truly begins with a 5K run and the Opening Ceremonies. This festival is about celebrating the rich Welsh, Scottish, and Irish heritage and traditions of the true Celtic Nations. Following the opening ceremonies, around 9:00 am, the Scottish Highland Dance competition begins and is followed by the Irish Dance Competition. There will also be Highland Games and Athletics including both professional and amateur competitors. The amateur level is open to both women and men of all ages.

Poster printing and flyer printing may have been used to advertise this event to the community. Admission to Saturday’s events cost $15 per adult, $10 for seniors, $5 for youth ages 13 to 17, and children under 12 are free.
