Flyer Printing
Flyers are a low cost but very effective way to advertise and businesses use this method to announce all manner of events. They can be an irritation to vehicle owners who have parked in a popular shopping center or a business park and return to their car to find a flyer under their windscreen wiper. The disgruntled vehicle owner may not be happy at having to get out of their vehicle to remove the flyer before getting back into their vehicle and setting off on their journey but, in the majority of cases, the flyer makes an impact, even if it is not the one intended!
They are a particular favorite of new start businesses who find that they need to advertise their new business quickly and effectively but have a limited budget to do so. Experienced flyer printing will enable you to produce a large quantity of flyers at a reasonable cost on good quality paper.
However, if the budget is much more restricted, then flyers can be produced using a simple software packages on a home or office computer. They will not have the quality of professionally produced flyer printing and an inexperienced person may make the mistake of trying to put too much information on the page with the result that it looks a jumbled mess and no one will attempt to read it. On the other hand, they may make the mistake of not putting all the information they should on the flyer. Often they omit essential information such as a telephone number or web address.
Although flyer printing is an economical choice, they still require careful design so that the message a business wishes to get across stands out and all the important and relevant information is included. Flyers can be printed on both sides and they are often included inside newspapers and magazines as well as being delivered along with your mail.
As with any type of printing that a business is considering, it is wise to ask for recommendations from other businesses as well as family, friends and colleagues. A good printer will probably be a member of a professionally recognized body and will have their reputation to maintain. They will also have the knowledge and experience necessary to produce high quality flyers.
Professional flyer printing can offer a variety of sizes from a DL size up to an A3 size but the most popular sizes are either A5 or A6. Flyers are printed on one or both sides and in a simple black print on a white background or in full color. The quality of the paper can range from 130gsm to 300gsm and the finish can be matt or silk. The printer, if required, can also laminate flyers. Some print companies allow you to submit your own artwork and some offer a folding service if you wish which is especially useful if your flyer printing is a particularly large job or is several pages folded in a concertina style. Small quantities are digitally printed and larger quantities are litho printed.
