The Council hopes that, by prohibiting smoking in its parks, such recreational areas will be cleaner and that the residents and visitors will benefit from better health, safety, and welfare. No doubt the township is hiring printing companies to print flyers to let those who visit these parks know of the new proposed ordinance.
The parks likely to covered by the ban are the Iron Works Park, Monroe Street Park, Mill Dam Park, the Ricmer Street tot lot, Chestnut Street Park, the gazebo in the downtown area, and all other athletic fields, playgrounds, and sideline and seating areas for spectators that are owned by the township. Seven other parks will be included in the ban as well, as the county amphitheater in Westampton, the Rancocas Nature Center, the Mount Holly Prison Museum grounds, and the Moorestown Agricultural Center.
Using or carrying lighted cigarettes, cigars, pipes, and other combustible tobacco products would be considered as smoking. Those who are found smoking will be subject to fines at the municipal court’s discretion.
This proposed ordinance by the township is part of a movement to create smoke-free environments in Burlington County. Parks owned by the county will become tobacco- and smoke-free on May 31, which is World ‘No Tobacco’ Day. The organization Tobacco-Free for a Healthy New Jersey has claimed that there are smoking bans in recreation and park areas in about 180 municipalities across the state.]]>
According to the executive vice president of Simon Property Group, Tom Schneider, the idea of The Shops at Nanuet is to create a main street for the region with an open-air environment that will help to differentiate it from other retail venues in the area.
Alex Gromack, Town Supervisor for Clarkstown, is very happy that something is being done with the site, as the mall had been deteriorating over the past 10 years since the Palisades Center Mall opened in 1998. Gromack believes that the inside of it had become bleak and stores were leaving, with a hair salon and a restaurant departed at the last count. As a result, the tax income for the town has also declined.
The Shops at Nanuet will number between 50 and 60 and include a Regal movie theater, a Fairway market, and a 24 Hour Fitness center. The development will also include Sear’s and Macy’s as anchor stores, and it expected that more than 1,000 construction jobs will be created, as well as 1,500 retail positions – so plenty of opportunities for business card printing could lie ahead.
Gromack added that all the remaining tenants are out of the Mall and that demolition has already started.]]>
No doubt flyer printing and poster printing are being used to increase the awareness of those who want to visit the Hollywood area, so that they can plan their travels and vacations when this attraction becomes open to the public in 2014.
The attraction will be Diagon Alley, which was the magical London shopping district that was first brought to attention by J.K. Rowling in ‘Harry Potter & the Sorcerer’s Stone’, the first installment in the Potter series.
WWHP was established in 2010 at the Universal Islands of Adventure and has enabled visitors to tour Hogwarts castle, the classroom for the Defense Against the Dark Arts, and the Room of Requirement. Other attractions include a ride above the grounds of the school, shopping at Hogsmeade, and being able to have dinner at the Three Broomsticks. Plans for Diagon Alley include a restaurant, shops with the Harry Potter theme, and Gringotts Wizarding Bank with a ride inside.
According to Tom Schroder, Vice President of corporate communications for Universal Orlando Resort, visitors will be able to travel between Diagon Alley and WWHP by means of the Hogwarts Express train, which is something that the organization considers history-making as there is no other experience in the world where one can start in one theme park and then continue to another.]]>
The program is called Community Bees on Bikes and is an educational initiative that establishes and maintains the beehives in the parks and community areas of Minneapolis, and provides an opportunity unlike any other to explore a working beehive in a safe manner. Those who sign up for the classes are put into a full bee suit that will protect them, but participants are required to wear suitable boots or shoes to make sure that their full bodies are covered.
These classes and other events have been offered by the Parks and Recreation Department for two years and are becoming more popular every summer. Experts say that bees are social insects and help to pollenate flowers and other flora that we may eat. There has been a concern in recent years that bees are dying off due to pesticides and the decreasing number of flowers around for them to eat. The classes are designed as an introduction to honeybees and how they can be maintained.
The classes are stand-alone, last for 90 minutes, and are offered at many parks throughout the summer. There will also be opportunities to get involved with an entomologist from the University of Minneapolis to take bee surveys and to attend a party in celebration of bees in July.]]>

The performance begins at the famed hangout on the Sunset Strip. The rap-metal band has been performing since 1994 when it was formed by Floridian Fred Durst and Sam Rivers. It was discovered by the band Korn, who passed the group’s demo onto its producer, Ross Robinson.
Word of mouth made the band well-known and Limp Bizkit was selected to tour with the Deftones and House of Pain. The debut album, ‘Three Dollar Bill Yall$’, was released and by 1998 the band made an appearance on MTV.
The group became superstars after the release of the album ‘Significant Other’ in June of 1999, along with the video for ‘Nookie’, and is set to release its seventh studio album later this year. The House of Blues is located at 8430 Sunset Boulevard, West Hollywood, and the group will appear this Friday, May 24.
On the same night, at 7:00 pm, perhaps an even more extreme night of music is on offer as Opeth and Katatonia performs at 7:00 pm at the Roxy, 9009 West Sunset Boulevard in West Hollywood. This Swedish group will be enjoyed by fans of death metal music.
The group has been known for its musical versatility and lengthy songs since its beginnings in 1990. Having released several albums over the years, most recently in 2011, catalog printing is a great way to keep track of bands like this and their accomplishments over the years.]]>

Music lovers can follow up that performance with The Flobots at 10:30 pm on Thursday, May 23, back at the Mint once more.
This progressive rap group is based in Denver, Colorado and its shows features music with a political conscience. The group has opened for such bands as The Fray and Public Enemy. The first Flobots album was released in 2005, and in 2008 the group signed with Universal Music Group.

After cooking, guests can relax to tunes from the 60s at the ‘Wine, Tunes & Classics’ event at the California Automobile Museum, 2200 Front Street, just minutes from West Sacramento. The cost is $40 per person for just the wine event but, for $50, patrons can enjoy the wine tasting and one day’s admission to the music festival. The music festival is organized by the Alabaster Arts Council and features performers from across all different types of musical genres. There is a KidsFest stage area as well, with performers aimed at younger audiences, while a KidsFest activity area will keep children busy with things like arts and crafts, a Lowe’s building workshop, and a drum circle. Finally, there is also a 5K run on the day of the event.
Some of the more notable performers this year are the Coyote Jack Band, Josh Turner, and Ed Kowalczyk from the rock band Live. Spectacular Science and Marvelous Magic are the headlining acts for KidsFest, both of which are interactive shows full of tricks and demonstrations that require audience participation.
The organizers for this event will no doubt want to advertise it to make sure that they draw in as many people as possible. Printing flyers and promotional posters is a good way to get the word out. Banner printing companies may also be helpful to organizers, since they can make banners for the different performance stages, as well as the race area. Vendors will also be on hand at the event, perhaps turning to brochure and catalogue printing to support their endeavors.
The festival is set to be held on Saturday, June 1, and more information on the planned programs and the event’s history can be found on its website.]]>
On Saturday, May 25, Bad Rabbits, The Shins, and fun. Sunday will feature Caspian, The Walkmen, Of Monsters and Men, and The National, rounding off an impressive lineup for an inaugural festival.
Organizers for Boston Calling may turn to printing companies in order to help advertise for the event. Flyer printing companies can produce cost-effective advertising materials that can be handed out on the street to drum up attendance. Banner printing companies may also be able to assist organizers by creating banners for the different stages at the festival.
There will also be food and merchandise vendors on hand selling their various wares. These vendors might make use of banner printing companies as well so that they can make their booths or carts stand out in a crowd.
Performances begin at 1:30 pm on both Saturday and Sunday, with the final band taking the stage at 9:00 pm on both nights. Passes for the festival cost between $75 and $350 with children under the age of 10 allowed in free of charge.
