New medic office gets underway

Building work commenced on the last day of October on the new UC Health outpatients facility in Florence.

Perfectly placed for many Southgate folks and people across the local area, the new multimillion-dollar building will take up just over 40,000 square feet of space. This will provide the facilities for as many as 60 members of staff at the center, with half of these expected to be doctors.

When opened, the facility will become a primary care center for UC Health. This means that it will offer special practices. Folks attending the center will be able to access special services for cardiology, dermatology, endocrinology, gynecology, neurology, obstetrics, and orthopedics.

A large advertising campaign with poster and banner printing in good measure will likely be needed to ensure patients are aware of the services on offer.

The present orthopedics center in Southgate will continue to operate until the new center comes online.

Talking about the new center, the vice president of strategic planning/development for the company, Peter Iacobell, said:

“Our expansion plan focuses on enhancing access to quality health care — both in terms of geography and specialty care — for patients throughout the Tri-State.”

The plans will see the firm open or chose new locations for a further seven facilities by 2015.

Set to be a state-of-the-art facility, with open spaces and good car parking, the two-story building will be located at 58 Cavalier Boulevard, close by to Interstate 71/75.

The new medical center is set to open its doors in July of next year.
