Media company hold webinars for print shops

As part of their commitment to America’s print industry, American Printer Magazine and Penton Media are rolling out a series of webinars to keep print shops abreast of emerging technology.

Webinars include updates on equipment used by Southgate printers engaged in book and catalogue printing. Up until the past few years, roll-fed monochrome machines were pushing the growth of digital print forward. However, newer, faster inkjet technology has been a game-changer. A webinar, now offered on demand on the American Printer Magazine website, is educating Southgate companies on new opportunities with continuous-feed color printing.

The free webinar entitled Short Run Color Digital Printing takes a look at offset printing and why it will continue to be a mainstay of the industry. Discussion includes markets in the U.S. that are digital color hot spots; why those markets are growing the fastest in today’s economy and what’s made it possible. Other topics include strategies to launch short-run color, how to merge new capabilities with ease and how to maximize opportunities with investment portfolios. Plus, testimonials from print owners who have realized success with new short run color digital printing opportunities.

Presenters in the webinar include Mike Herold and Rob Malkin, both of InfoPrint Solutions. Herold is worldwide product manager of inkjet technologies and Malkin is a commercial business development expert.

The webinar is accessible on the website at www.americanprinter.com. Webinars are open to all; however, interested parties must register and agree to share information regarding their print business in order to participate in the free webinar.
