Magnolia Mountain dazzles the Southgate area

The Southgate House Revival Sanctuary in Kentucky will present a concert featuring Magnolia Mountain this weekend.

The group consists of three lead singers with an extensive knowledge of traditional American music and several band members. They draw from bluegrass, blues, soul, folk and rock in their music, using close harmony vocals.

Fans of this kind of music, new and old, will no doubt find Magnolia Mountain fills the requirement. Working with various genres, they find translate the original songs into their own style which pleases audiences every time.

Mark Utley, vocalist and songwriter, takes the lead on acoustic and electric guitar and banjo. Melissa English and Renee Frye are the other vocalists in the group, for which Jeff Vanover, Dusty Bryant, Victor Strunk, and Todd Drake complete the lineup.

Playing in venues throughout Cincinnati performing original songs in addition to the hits from the Staple Singers, Son Volt, Buddy Miller, and Hank Williams, Sr., the group has built a loyal fan base and has played at a variety of venues, ranging from small bars to top-class venues.
