Family winter days come to Newport Aquarium

Families in Newport, and nearby Southgate, have the opportunity to see some amazing creatures at the top-rated Newport Aquarium.

In the rainforest exhibit, visitors can see the rare white American alligators, Snowball and Snowflake. The alligators are only on display until the end of February. Another highlight is a 385,000-gallon tank, the ‘Surrounded by Sharks’ exhibit, containing shark rays, tiger sharks, zebra sharks, stingrays, and a loggerhead sea turtle.

Other exhibits include, but aren’t limited to, the amazon, coral reef, ‘dangerous and deadly’, frog bog, gator alley, jellyfish gallery, penguin palooza, world rivers, and several shark exhibits. Various shows, along with interactive and educational experiences, are some other must-see things to do at the aquarium.

In order to promote the family-friendly event, the aquarium could use flyer printing services. A bright flyer could be passed out to Newport on the Levee visitors, with ticket prices, exhibit highlights, and other important information included.

This event is got underway just a couple of days ago, and continues until February 28. With every full-priced adult ticket of $23, two children are admitted for free. This offer cannot be combined with any other discount. Regardless of cold temperatures, families can come to the aquarium and enjoy the regulated 74°F.

On Saturdays and holidays weekends, the aquarium will open at 9:00 am, one hour earlier than usual. Regular hours are 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. The aquarium is located at Newport on the Levee at 1 Levee Way. Call 1-800-406-FISH (3474) for more information.
