Covington set to celebrate Mardi Gras
February 5, 2014 by Mark
MainStrasse Village and 96 Rock are hosting a nighttime Mardi Gras celebration in a giant heated entertainment tent. Neighborhood pubs, Cajun food booths, and live music are some of the perks that guests over 21 can experience.
Participants are encouraged to wear beads to the event. Beads, baubles, and bangles will be available at many businesses at the MainStrasse Village, and also in the tent.
Residents in Covington and nearby Southgate are likely to take part in the Mardi Gras festivities. It is probable the event organizers used postcard printing to create a direct mail postcard to get the message out to a large audience quickly.
The Mardi Gras festival will take place on February 28 and March 1 from 8:00 pm to 1:00 am. Guests aged 21 or older can purchase tickets for $10 a night or $15 for both nights, if purchased in advance. Guests can take advantage of free parking in the IRS parking lot on 4th and Johnson.
On both nights, there will be a parade at 8:00 pm and live music from 9:00 pm to 1:00 am. On the Friday, musical group ‘4th Day Echo’, while ‘Naked Karate Girls’ will provide the music on the Saturday.
MainStrasse Village is located at 406 West 6th Street Suite 201 in Covington. Its office can be contacted at 859-491-0458 for more information.
