Waterfront Wednesdays on the agenda again Louisville
July 26, 2013 by Mark
The end of the month will see WFPK Waterfront Wednesdays return to Louisville. Presented by the Waterfront Development Corporation and Louisville Public Media, the concerts take place on the Big Four Lawn.
This year marks the 12th year of this popular concert series. The Waterfront Development Corporation and Louisville Public Media work together along with 91.9 WFPK radio station in presenting the concerts by booking national and local performers. A cash bar is available and festival food can be purchased at each event.
The Waterfront Park was designed to accommodate many events and uses. With several venues available within the park with different configurations, the park can cater to many events.
Parking is available in the paid parking lot at the wharf, which is the blue lot, and all other lots are free. Pets are not allowed. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets for their comfort while watching the concerts.
Many sponsors are participating in the Waterfront Wednesdays events including Goose Island, Commonwealth Bank and Trust Company, Mini of Louisville, Koerber’s Fine Jewelry, and Friends of the Waterfront. Banner printing is a common project for local print companies when working with concert organizers who want to publicize sponsors.
The July event will take place on July 31th and will feature the Little Green Cars, Randall Bramblett Band, and the Quiet Hollers. The concert will be held on the Big Four Lawn and will begin at 5:00 pm. Information about all of the Waterfront Park activities can be found within the event’s website.
