MS walk made a May fixture
December 19, 2013 by Mark
The Walk MS Louisville 2014 will take place in May giving individuals and teams the opportunity to help raise money for the fight against multiple sclerosis.
Connecting people afflicted with MS, their families, friends, and caregivers, the event creates a positive experience for everyone to share. One of the goals is to show the power of working together.
The funds raised from the Walk MS event will support programs and research within the community. It is estimated there are in excess of 5,000 people in Louisville living with MS.
The walk options include one, two, and three-mile routes. The May 31 event will begin at the Festival Plaza-Waterfront Park on East River Road. The site will open at 8:00 am and the kick-off ceremony at 9:30 am.
Volunteers are needed for the Walk MS event. A wide range of skills, talents, interests and abilities is required to ensure the event is successful. Donation of time is much appreciated and needed, and pre-event planning is key to the successful conclusion of every event, with volunteers playing a big part at this level.
Water and snacks are provided, and there is no registration fee or minimum fundraising required. Registration will include an individual URL address for contacts to find the personal page to participate and donate.
Banner printing is important for outdoor events with large attendance and participation, in order to direct the participants properly. Made of heavy vinyl, the banners can withstand any weather elements.
