Louisville’s Greek Festival dates confirmed
April 29, 2013 by Mark
Louisville’s locals like to joke that there is only one Greek restaurant in town and it is only open three days a year. The Greek Festival represents that unique situation and will take place in just over a month’s time on the Belvedere Fifth and Main.
A full array of ethnic food specialties will be available through the various vendor booths, giving people an opportunity to enjoy favorites and try new dishes. Fine wines and imported beer from Greece will be available, in addition to domestic beer and sodas.
Authentic live Greek music will be presented by the Louisville-based Kostas Kastanis Band. They will be playing bouzouki music for the enjoyment of all attendees.
The Kefi and Athenian Dancers will perform unique dances in authentic costumes representing various regions of Greece. A children’s area will also be in operation to entertain the little ones during the event with various toys and activities.
A full vendor exhibition is part of the exciting Greek Festival, featuring arts, crafts, food creations, gifts, and other items. Many of the vendors work with local printing companies for preparation materials needed for their booths. Banner printing is a standard request so the banners can be placed within the booths noting the vendor’s company and pertinent branding information.
The festival is set to come to Louisville from June 7 – 9. More information is available via the event website, including the full menu of food items to be presented at the festival. Sponsor listings are also online.
